Sci-Fleet Motors is a family-owned business that has been servicing South East QLD for over 40 years. Employing over 550 staff, Sci-Fleet has multiple Toyota, Lexus, and Hino dealerships spanning across South East QLD which look after all aspects of motoring including Parts, Service, Finance, and Insurance.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Service Advisor at our Taringa Dealership.

The Role

This entry-level trainee role offers a structured pathway into dealership service operations. Working closely with workshop technicians and experienced advisors, you will be the main point of contact for our service customers—ensuring their vehicles are booked, serviced, and handed back with highest standards of quality and care.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Reception & Communication: Greet customers warmly, discuss vehicle requirements or issues, determine payment methods, and keep customers informed of progress or cost changes.

- Booking & Scheduling: Take phone and online bookings via our DMS/VSD system, allocate realistic job times, and maintain smooth workshop workflow.

- Repair Order Management: Prepare precise Repair Orders with clear work instructions, verify completed work, check labor hours, and process sublet invoicing.

- Vehicle Inspection & Handoff: Walk through repairs with customers upon completion, explain invoices, answer technical queries, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

- Department Administration: Handle incoming calls, manage loan car arrangements and agreements, mail service reminders, and file completed records.





- Dealership Standards: Maintain clean customer reception areas and ensure customer/loan vehicles are securely parked overnight.

Key Requirements

- Driver’s Licence: A current Queensland Driver’s Licence is strictly required.

- Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in a Service, Retail, or Customer Relations role (Automotive background preferred but not essential).

- Technical Interest: Basic understanding of vehicle components, service processes, and automotive repair systems.

- Computer Literacy: Solid IT and keyboard skills with the ability to quickly adapt to in-house dealership systems.

- Customer Focus: Outstanding verbal communication, listening skills, and a strong commitment to high-quality customer service.

- Organisation: Great time management, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
