Neurophysiology experience in a tertiary paediatric hospital setting is required for this role.

About the Role

Perth Children’s Hospital and Neonatology are seeking experienced Senior Clinical Neurophysiology Scientists to join our team and deliver specialised neurophysiology services to infants, children and young people including patients with complex clinical, developmental and behavioural needs. The role includes outreach pre-term neonatal EEG services at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

You will independently perform a broad range of standard and advanced investigations including routine EEG, neonatal EEG, video EEG monitoring, evoked potentials and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, applying expert clinical judgement to obtain high-quality diagnostic information.

You will work closely within the team to provide mentoring support and play an important role in supporting the development of clinical neurophysiology scientists. Robust communication skills and the ability to support children and families throughout the diagnostic process will be highly valued.

About our Team

Our specialised clinic as part of the Children’s Neuroscience Service at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) caters to children from preterm to 18 years of age, particularly those with epilepsy, offering a comprehensive range of services from EEGs to Intraoperative Monitoring during brain and spinal surgeries. Our EEG satellite service to King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) provides Neonatal EEGs for infants in intensive care.
