The Opportunity
Our client is a market leader in the design and manufacture of custom cabinetry and stone products, with an established reputation for quality, innovation and exceptional customer service.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking two experienced Inventory Controllers to join their operations team. These positions will play an integral role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting purchasing activities and ensuring the timely availability of stock across the business.
We are seeking experienced inventory professionals who are highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working within a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the relevant management team, your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock data integrity
Monitoring inventory levels and identifying critical and low-stock items
Raising purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory requirements
Monitoring and following up on supplier orders and outstanding backorders
Liaising with suppliers regarding stock availability, deliveries and discrepancies
Communicating effectively with internal departments to ensure inventory requirements are met
Coordinating and organising stock returns where required
Conducting regular stock takes and assisting with inventory reconciliations
Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
Ensuring inventory records are maintained accurately within relevant systems
Operating forklifts safely to assist with stock movement and warehouse requirements
Supporting continuous improvement of inventory and purchasing processes
About You
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
Minimum 3 years' experience in Inventory Control or a similar role
Previous manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred
Current Forklift Licence/Ticket - essential
Proven forklift operating experience
Strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing and stock control processes
Experience working with CRM and/or ERP systems
SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Office Suite experience is highly preferred
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to prioritise competing requirements in a fast-paced environment
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
