You will be working alongside our commercial plumbing and hydraulic team carrying out excavation and trenching associated with underground services.
Key responsibilities
- Operating excavators and associated plant
- Trenching for underground plumbing and hydraulic services
- Excavating around existing underground services
- Working to required depths, levels and grades
- Reading and interpreting site plans
- Backfilling and site preparation
- Daily plant pre-start inspections
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
- Working closely with plumbers, supervisors and other trades on site
About you
- Demonstrated excavator operating experience
- Relevant excavator competency/tickets
- Construction White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Experience excavating around underground services
- Understanding of trenching and excavation safety requirements
- Ability to read plans and work to levels
- Good communication skills
- Reliable transport to and from the Bargara project
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
