We are seeking a proactive HSE Advisor to support the health, safety and environmental performance of our people, projects and operations. You'll work alongside experienced Senior Advisors, gaining exposure across operational HSE, systems development and improvement projects while continuing to build your HSE career.

About the Role

As an HSE Advisor, you'll provide practical HSE guidance and support across the business, helping our people and projects operate safely, responsibly and in line with HSE requirements.

the role combines the development and improvement of HSE systems and processes with hands-on support to operational teams, contractors and frontline personnel.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, contribute to key HSE projects and broaden your experience across different areas of the business while working alongside experienced HSE professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Support compliance with HSE legislation, Pacific Energy policies and industry best practice.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of HSE management systems, documentation and processes.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments and support corrective actions.
- Develop project and site-specific HSE risk management plans and procedures.
- Support the development and testing of emergency management and response plans across facilities and operations.
- Coach employees, leaders, contractors and project teams on HSE requirements, hazards and incident reporting.
- Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring lessons learned are implemented.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and training while building positive relationships with operational leaders, clients and contractors.

About You

You're an engaged and approachable HSE professional who enjoys working with people and is confident taking ownership of your work.

You'll bring strong attention to detail,



an improvement mindset and the ability to work autonomously while still being a collaborative team player. You're comfortable engaging with everyone from frontline personnel and contractors through to operational leaders and clients, and you're keen to continue learning and developing your HSE career.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in an HSE Advisor or similar role, ideally within manufacturing, mining, electrical or another high-risk environment.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety, or a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
- Sound understanding of HSE legislation and its practical application.
- Experience working with clients, contractors and operational stakeholders on HSE requirements.
- Experience with HSE management systems and internal auditing.
- Investigation training and experience, with 5-Whys and ICAM preferred.
- Experience with high-risk activities such as working at heights, electrical safety or crane operations.
- Knowledge of environmental management practices relevant to the energy and resources industry.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and collaborate effectively with others.
- Experience facilitating risk workshops or exposure to FIFO/remote operational environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
