Stratco is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting and commercial analysis to support business operations across the Stratco Group.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational and finance stakeholders to provide accurate financial information, identify trends in business performance and support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and financial reporting.
- Coordinate month-end accounting processes and ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial results.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis reports.
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support commercial decision-making.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor expenditure and performance against budget and forecast targets.
- Support stocktake activities and ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.
- Prepare daily and monthly operational performance reports.
- Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Assist with Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and other taxation compliance requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance-related projects.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards obtaining CPA or CA accreditation.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in a Management Accountant, Assistant,



Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

- Experience using Oracle ERP systems.
- Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software.
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution, construction products or a multi-site business environment.
