The role

This is a senior Financial Controller opportunity with ownership across financial reporting, technical accounting, governance, controls, audit and operational finance.

Leading approximately six team members locally while overseeing a further offshore finance function, you will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting while strengthening the processes and controls that support the business.

A major focus will be helping prepare the Australian operation for a potential US listing, while balancing global requirements with Australian statutory, tax and audit obligations.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop the local finance team while driving performance across offshore finance partners.
- Own month-end and year-end close, consolidated reporting and the preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Provide strong technical accounting leadership across complex transactions, estimates, provisions and accounting judgements.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and processes, including supporting listing-readiness initiatives.
- Oversee Australian statutory reporting, taxation, audit and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and international corporate finance stakeholders.
- Drive process improvement,



automation and greater efficiency across the finance function.
- Translate financial results into a explicit narrative for senior stakeholders rather than simply reporting the numbers.

Skills and experience

- CA/CPA qualified, with strong technical accounting capability.
- Demonstrated Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within an ASX-listed environment, ideally with exposure to a global or multinational organisation.
- Strong Australian statutory reporting, audit, tax and compliance knowledge.
- Proven ownership of month-end, financial reporting, controls and operational finance.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams, ideally across both local and offshore structures.
- Confident operating autonomously, interpreting complex requirements and developing practical solutions.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a creative, fast-moving and less traditional corporate environment.
