- Fixed term, full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.
What you will do
As Senior Policy Officer, you will provide clear policy and governance advice across the Attorney-General's portfolio.
You will help develop policy, support key justice bodies and prepare advice and documents for senior decision-makers.
You will:
- prepare complex cabinet, parliamentary and ministerial documents and correspondence
- develop and implement practical policy proposals, programs and initiatives across the Attorney-General's portfolio
- provide clear and informed advice on policy, performance and justice system reform issues
- work with justice system partners to deliver effective policy and reform projects
- build and maintain strong working relationships while supporting a positive and inclusive team.
About you
A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable. You should also have knowledge of policy development, implementation or law.
You should also have:
- sound knowledge of Victorian Government processes and policy development
- experience in governance, financial reporting or performance reporting
- strong policy skills, with the ability to develop explicit options and recommendations
- the ability to assess complex issues, build support for ideas and provide clear advice.
