The Role

The Digital & Technology portfolio enables the College's strategy through secure, reliable and continuously improving technology platforms, data and digital products, delivered under a platform/product operating model with clear business and IT ownership.

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture & Governance owns the College's enterprise technology blueprint and is accountable for enterprise and solution architecture, integration standards, cloud architecture principles, platform roadmaps, application lifecycle standards, technology governance and design authority.

Key Accountabilities

- Own and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint, target-state roadmaps and technology principles.
- Chair the design authority and set architecture guardrails, patterns and reusable decision frameworks.
- Lead enterprise and solution architecture, including cloud architecture standards and platform roadmaps.
- Define integration and API standards, with delivery executed through Digital Product Platforms & Engineering.
- Own technology governance and standards, including architecture assurance of significant investments.
- Drive application lifecycle management, rationalisation, simplification and decommissioning.
- Partner with Cyber Security on secure-by-design patterns and with Data & AI on data and AI architecture guardrails.
- Provide architectural assurance for TRELLiS and its transition to platform and product ownership.




- Develop and uplift architecture and governance capability across the team.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have

- Formal qualifications in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- 5+ years' experience in enterprise or solution architecture leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of current and emerging cloud, integration and application architecture patterns.
- Demonstrated experience establishing architecture governance, design authority and technology standards.
- Experience defining integration and API strategies across SaaS, cloud and on-premise estates.
- Experience leading application rationalisation and lifecycle management programs.
- Demonstrated ability to instil confidence in the organisation and validate the business value of IT.
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a technology vision
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid vendor management and partner relations skills
