Senior Mechanical Project Engineer | FIFO | Cape Lambert, WA

About the Role

Goodline is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team supporting a major Rio Tinto project at Cape Lambert, WA. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of large-scale mechanical construction works within a live mining and infrastructure environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated engineering professional with strong experience delivering mechanical projects across mining, resources, industrial, or heavy construction sectors. You will work closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical construction works.

- Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site installation activities.

- Manage subcontractors, suppliers,



and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and productivity targets.

- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project and site teams.

- Support project reporting, forecasting, and client engagement activities.

About You

- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.

- Current Construction White Card.

- Demonstrated experience delivering mechanical projects within mining, industrial, oil & gas, or heavy construction environments.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methodologies, project delivery, and commissioning activities.

- Experience with project planning, cost control, procurement, and scheduling.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
