Marketing, Brand & Performance Manager
Centacare | Brisbane | Full-time

Build a new enterprise marketing capability from the ground up.
Build the team. Shape the brand. Own customer growth and performance.
Centacare is at an important point in its growth.

Across aged care, at-home support, childcare and community services, we support thousands of people and families across Queensland. As our organisation continues to evolve, we are creating a new enterprise marketing capability to strengthen how our markets understand Centacare, how customers discover and engage with our services, and how marketing contributes to sustainable growth.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing, Brand & Performance Manager to build and lead that capability with the support of senior leadership.
This is not an opportunity to simply inherit a finished model or run an established campaign calendar. You will have genuine scope to build the team, operating model, planning rhythm, technology, brand architecture, customer approach and performance discipline needed for a modern enterprise marketing function - while building on the strengths that already exist across Centacare.

What you will build
With senior leadership support, you will shape the foundations of Centacare's enterprise marketing capability, including:

- Your own specialist marketing team - four direct reports covering Digital, Marketing Business Partnering, CRM & Lifecycle, and Content & Social Media, with Internal Communications aligned indirectly.
- The team structure, recruitment approach, role design and capability needed to deliver effectively across the organisation.
- Clear ways of working, standards, governance and processes that create consistency without slowing the organisation down.
- A practical planning rhythm spanning annual and quarterly planning, campaign priorities, marketing calendars and regular performance reviews.
- Marketing technology and platforms, working closely with ICT and Data & Analytics to build the right ecosystem for CRM, digital, measurement and future capability.
- Centacare's brand positioning, identity and architecture across the enterprise and its service brands.
- The customer journey and experience from awareness and enquiry through to conversion, engagement, retention and advocacy.

The opportunity
You will lead Centacare's enterprise marketing capability across brand, customer, digital and performance marketing, with explicit ownership of strategy, investment and outcomes.
Centacare operates across distinct service markets, each with different customers, needs, decision journeys and growth dynamics. Your role will be to create enterprise-level clarity while ensuring segmentation, propositions, channels and plans are tailored to each market.
Your focus will include:

- Developing and delivering Centacare's enterprise marketing strategy and plan, with clear priorities, accountabilities and measurable outcomes.
- Leading and developing the specialist marketing team, setting direction, standards, expectations and accountability while building capability over time.
- Strengthening brand positioning, identity, architecture and value propositions across Centacare and its service brands.
- Building a deeper understanding of customers and improving journeys from awareness and enquiry through to conversion, engagement and retention.
- Developing differentiated segmentation and marketing approaches for each service line, recognising that each operates in a distinct market with different customer needs and growth opportunities.
- Leading integrated customer acquisition, enquiry generation, engagement and retention strategies across paid and organic channels.

- Leading the direction and performance of digital, websites, CRM and lifecycle marketing, including SEO, marketing technology and emerging opportunities such as AI.
- Owning the marketing budget and agency spend, with clear accountability for KPIs and return on marketing investment.
- Using customer, market, financial and performance data to direct investment toward the highest-priority customer and growth outcomes.
- Establishing strong measurement disciplines including lead capture, source tracking, attribution, channel performance, conversion and executive reporting.
- Developing business cases and commercial recommendations for marketing investment, capability, technology and supplier decisions.
- Leading agency relationships including scope, negotiation, performance, quality, value and commercial accountability.
- Leading major brand, service launch, repositioning and go-to-market initiatives.
- Establishing Centacare's marketing operating model, including governance, planning, processes, performance measurement, technology and ways of working.

This is primarily a role about leading through people, setting direction and creating the conditions for strong execution rather than personally delivering every campaign.
That said, Centacare is a lean and collaborative organisation. When something important needs attention, we are looking for a leader who is comfortable getting close to the work, solving problems and helping the team deliver.

About you
You will already be operating at a senior marketing leadership level, with a track record of leading people and building or growing marketing capability in a complex organisation.
We are looking for someone who brings:

- Proven people leadership experience, including leading, coaching and developing marketing specialists and creating clarity around performance and accountability.
- Experience building or growing a marketing function, including team structure, recruitment, role design and capability development.
- Broad marketing capability across brand, customer, digital, CRM/lifecycle, integrated marketing and performance.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering marketing strategy and translating it into a prioritised plan, budget and operating rhythm.
- Strong customer and commercial thinking, with the ability to connect marketing activity and investment to enquiries, conversion, engagement, retention and organisational growth.
- Confidence owning significant budgets and agency spend, with a disciplined approach to KPIs, performance and return on marketing investment.
- Strong experience working with external agencies and suppliers and holding partners accountable for quality, performance and value.
- The ability to interpret customer, market, financial and campaign data and turn it into clear investment decisions and executive recommendations.
- Experience with lead capture, source tracking, attribution, performance reporting and using data to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Experience working credibly with executives and senior leaders across a complex organisation.
- The judgement to balance longer-term brand building with shorter-term customer acquisition, service growth and commercial priorities.
- The ability to work across different customer markets and tailor segmentation, messaging,

channels and plans rather than applying one approach everywhere.

Experience leading a brand launch, repositioning, major service launch or significant go-to-market program would be highly regarded.

Your background
Experience within human services would be valuable, but it isn't essential.
You may have developed your career within customer-facing industries like retail, hospitality, financial services, property or retirement living, travel, healthcare, education.
What matters most is your ability to understand different customers and markets, build talented teams, navigate complexity, make commercially sound decisions and create a marketing capability that delivers measurable results.
Previous experience within a Catholic organisation is not required. Alignment with Centacare's purpose and values is far more important.

Why Centacare?
Few senior marketing roles offer the opportunity to build at this scale.
