About the Role

ilma Beach House is looking for an outstanding Sous Chef to join our passionate team at our beautiful oceanside location in Naturaliste, Western Australia. In this full-time role, you will play a key role in our kitchen operations, supporting the delivery of an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a busy role and not for the faint of heart.

Our menu celebrates vibrant flavors, fresh seafood, and seasonal produce, all Mediterranean-inspired in keeping with the style of ilma Beach House.

Your expertise will shine as you support the team in creating a memorable culinary journey, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality, service and teamwork. Reporting directly to our Head Chef, you will collaborate to ensure the continued success and excellence of the culinary offerings.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing high-quality, innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal local produce

- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

- Support the development of creative, high-quality menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce

- Provide mentorship to a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment

- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and to the highest standards of food safety and quality

- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and an exceptional guest experience

What we're looking for

- Significant experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant or similar establishment

- Strong leadership and team management skills,



with the ability to motivate and coach others in a collaborative and engaging way

- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and as part of a cohesive team

- Thorough understanding of food safety and kitchen operations regulations

- Passion for the hospitality industry, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience
