About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Factory Hand / Forklift Operator to join their manufacturing team.
You'll be working across the factory, operating modern CNC cutting machinery, preparing timber stair components, using hand and power tools, and assisting with the movement and dispatch of finished products.
This is a great opportunity for someone with factory, warehouse, timber or wood machining experience who is looking for a stable role with the potential to transition into permanent employment.
Full training will be provided on the machinery and processes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating and loading CNC and cutting machinery
- Operating a forklift to move materials and finished products
- Measuring and cutting timber accurately
- Assembling solid timber stair components
- Using hand, power and air tools
- Preparing flat-pack staircases for dispatch
- Loading and unloading materials and products
- Assisting with general factory and warehouse duties
- Maintaining a clean, organised and secure work environment
- Following production processes and workplace safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Current forklift licence – highly regarded
- Previous factory, warehouse, timber or wood machining experience is highly regarded
- Comfortable working with machinery and hand/power tools
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 10–16kg
- Good attention to detail and able to follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transport and steel-capped boots
