About the Team
The Research Office supports researchers across the full research lifecycle and partners with faculties and divisions to enable research activity. This role sits in the within the Research Partnering Team, and works closely with researchers, faculties and skilled teams across UTS.
Job Purpose
The Researcher Partner Manager (Life, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences) provides strategic advice, guidance and support to researchers and research leaders across the research lifecycle. Through trusted partnerships and connections to specialist expertise and opportunities across UTS, the role helps drive research excellence, foster collaboration, and maximise research impact.
Role Responsibilities
- Build trusted partnerships with researchers and research leaders across the Life, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences disciplines.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance across the research lifecycle, helping researchers plan, identify opportunities and navigate complex challenges.
- Connect researchers with specialist life, agricultural and environmental expertise, services and resources across UTS to enable successful research outcomes.
- Support the development of research initiatives, collaborations and funding opportunities that enhance research excellence and impact.
- Facilitate engagement with Research Office services and promote a coordinated, researcher-centred support experience.
- Foster collaboration across faculties and professional service teams to strengthen capability and maximise the impact of UTS research.
Skills, Attributes and Knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, trusted relationships with researchers, research leaders and stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of the research ecosystem and the challenges and opportunities facing researchers throughout the research lifecycle.
- Demonstrated knowledge of research funding schemes, with demonstrated experience supporting researchers to identify, develop and navigate funding opportunities.
- Excellent communication,
influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice and facilitate collaboration.
- Ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and connect people with the expertise, services and resources needed to achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working in research, higher education, research administration or a related field, with an understanding of research funding, policy and research support services.
- A collaborative, proactive and service-oriented approach, with a commitment to enabling research excellence and impact
Experience
- Experience working in research, higher education, research support or a related setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with research funding schemes, including supporting researchers with funding opportunities, applications, or related research development activities.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience providing advice, coordinating services or managing complex initiatives.
- Understanding of the Australian research ecosystem, including research funding and policy frameworks.
Qualifications
A relevant degree and experience in a research-intensive environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training.

What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $146, 670.00 - $153, 652.00 (HEW 9) Plus 17% Superannuation (Pension)UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits include adaptable work practices, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.
