Support the Survey Manager | Lead from the Field | Career Opportunity

BCE Surveying is looking for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our Bunbury team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor who enjoys being hands-on in the field but is ready to take the next step and play a key role in supporting the Survey Manager and the wider Bunbury team.

You will work closely with our Survey Manager, assisting with the day-to-day running of the office and providing technical and operational support, while continuing to undertake field surveying and project work.

Importantly, when the Survey Manager is on leave or unavailable, you will have the prospect to step into the role and provide leadership and continuity to the Bunbury surveying team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

- Undertaking a variety of field surveying and engineering surveying projects

- Supporting the Survey Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Bunbury office

- Assisting with planning, programming and allocation of survey resources

- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to surveyors and junior staff

- Reviewing field work and ensuring projects are delivered to BCE's high standards

- Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams

- Assisting with quotes, project planning and client requirements

- Ensuring field crews have the information and resources required to perform their work efficiently

- Stepping into the Survey Manager's responsibilities during periods of leave or absence

- Helping maintain BCE's strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and client service.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

- Strong surveying experience, ideally at Senior Surveyor level





- Excellent technical surveying skills and a strong understanding of field operations

- The confidence and ability to lead and support a team

- Good communication and client relationship skills

- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

- A practical, hands-on approach

- The ability to work independently while also being part of a professional team

- A willingness to continue working in the field rather than moving into a purely office-based management role

- Experience with modern surveying equipment and software

- A current Australian driver's licence.
