About the role

As a Diploma Qualified Educator at Keysborough Community Children's Centre (KCCC), you will play an active role in creating a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment for children. You will contribute to the educational program, work collaboratively with your team and play an active role in the ongoing development of practice.

Key responsibilities

- Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children

- Developing positive partnerships with families

- Actively contributing to programming, observations, documentation, planning and assessment

- Working collaboratively with your room team to implement engaging and meaningful learning experiences

- Contributing your ideas, knowledge and professional reflections to improve educational practice

- Supporting an inclusive workplace that respects children's individual abilities, cultures, backgrounds and identities

- Maintaining high standards of supervision, health, safety and wellbeing

- Participating in critical reflection and continuous improvement

- Working in accordance with the National Quality Framework, approved learning frameworks, service policies and Victorian child-safety requirements

About you

- Minimum of two years' experience working in early childhood education and care

- Hold an approved Diploma-level early childhood education and care qualification, or an equivalent recognised qualification

- Hold the required current Working with Children Check and other role-specific clearances and training

- Have a genuine commitment to children's safety, rights and wellbeing

- Understand the importance of children's voices and participation

- Be confident contributing to curriculum planning,



observations, assessment and documentation

- Be reflective and willing to contribute ideas to strengthen and improve practice

- Communicate positively and professionally with children, families and colleagues

- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a room and broader centre team

Keysborough Community Children's Centre (KCCC) is a not-for-profit, community-based early childhood service of 76 places that is open from 7am-6pm Monday to Friday.
