Our client is seeking a disciplined and reliable General Hand to join their galvanizing facility. This role is essential to the production cycle, ensuring steel components are processed efficiently and to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Material Preparation: Securely wiring and jigging steel products for the galvanizing process.
Surface Finishing: Utilizing grinders and hand tools to remove excess zinc and ensure a smooth, compliant finish.
Quality Assurance: Inspecting materials pre- and post-treatment for defects.
Logistics: Organising, stacking, and palletising finished goods for dispatch.
Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to OHS protocols and maintaining a clean industrial workspace.
Candidate Requirements
Physical Capability: Ability to perform manual labour in a heavy industrial environment.
Technical Aptitude: Previous experience with power tools (grinders/sanders) is highly regarded.
Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and consistent attendance.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a secure work workplace and wearing required PPE.
