Automotive Buyer – Warm Leads | No Cold Calling | High Earning Potential

Car Depot's Wholesale business, Sell Direct is growing, and we’re looking for a confident, driven Automotive Buyer to join our team.

This isn’t a traditional sales role and there’s no cold calling. You’ll be speaking with customers who have already indicated they’re interested in selling their vehicle. Your job is to build rapport, understand their expectations, negotiate professionally and ultimately secure vehicles for the business.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to take control of a phone conversation without being pushy. You’ll need to confidently guide customers through the process, manage expectations around pricing and valuations, overcome objections and keep conversations moving towards an outcome — while always maintaining a respectful, professional and customer-focused phone manner.

What we're looking for
A confident, qualified and respectful phone manner

Strong ability to manage customer expectations, particularly around vehicle values and pricing
Excellent listening and questioning skills
Natural ability to build rapport quickly over the phone




Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
Persistent and disciplined follow-up without being aggressive
A bubbly, energetic and positive personality
Competitive and results-driven attitude
Strong organisation and CRM follow-up habits
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team
Automotive experience is highly regarded, but attitude, communication skills and drive are just as important

You’ll be working with warm inbound and outbound opportunities from customers who want to sell their vehicles. You’ll qualify each chance, understand the vehicle and the customer's expectations, negotiate a purchase price and follow the lead through until the vehicle is secured.
