Walcha Council is seeking adedicated Parks and Gardens Operator to join our team. You will play a key rolein maintaining parks, gardens, sportsgrounds, streetscapes and other publicspaces to a high standard, helping create vibrant, well-cared-for spaces forour community to enjoy.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain small plant and machinery
Perform tree and garden maintenance
Maintain Council’s award-winning public parks andgrounds
Weed and pest control
Assisting with public space preparation forevents

What You’ll Bring
Experience operating small plant and machinery
A passion for creating and maintaining public spaces
Ability to follow maintenance plans and schedules
Physical ability to carry out the role

What We Offer

This is aPermanent Full time position (38 hours per week) starting at $1,118.30 (gross)+ superannuation per week based on Band 1 Level 3, Grade 2 of the LocalGovernment (State)



Award 2026.You will enjoy one RDO every fortnight.
