A casual role in a food production commercial kitchen in Ballina, with view to full time for the right applicant in early Jan 2027. This is a hands‑on position involving preparation, production monitoring, and kitchen maintenance.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and roasting bones/ingredients for daily production
Monitoring and managing quality, temperatures, and batch documentation
Thorough daily clean‑down and sterilisation of commercial kitchen and production equipment (HACCP compliant)
Assisting with warehousing tasks — packaging, prep for next days production, general duties
About you
Solid attention to detail and ability to follow OH&S; and HACCP food safety procedures
Comfortable working to set time frames and taking direction from management
Positive physical fitness — this role requires comfortably and safely lifting 20kg to approx. shoulder height
Reliable and hardworking
Forklift license highly regarded (not essential)
Food Safety training highly regarded (not essential)
