D.N.K Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilledFitterto join our team in Thomastown, Victoria.
This is afull-time positionbased at our Thomastown VIC **** facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery.
You will play a crucial part in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, working with precision and attention to detail to deliver high-quality results that meet our exacting standards.
Key responsibilities
Assemble and install mechanical components, equipment and machinery according to technical specifications and drawings
Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Diagnose faults and problems in mechanical systems and equipment, identifying appropriate solutions
Repair and replace faulty or worn components, using appropriate tools and techniques
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions accurately
Conduct inspections and testing of equipment to verify functionality and safety standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs and equipment servicing
Comply with all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures
Collaborate with other team members to ensure productive workflow and timely project completion
Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment optimization
What we're looking for
Trade qualification in fitting, mechanical engineering or related discipline (completed apprenticeship or equivalent)
Proven experience working as a fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong practical knowledge of mechanical principles, precision tools and fitting techniques
Ability to read,



interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosis and repair
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments
Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in a workshop environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Physical fitness to perform manual work, including lifting and working in various positions
Current driver's license is advantageous
Experience with CNC machinery or hydraulic systems is desirable
