About the Role
Take Walcha's water, waste and urban services from reactive to strategic, and build the plans that shape the community's future. Report directly to the Director of Infrastructure & Development, lead three coordinators, and build the asset management and forward planning the function has never had.
Duties
Lead and mentor three coordinators across water, waste and urban services
Develop long-term asset management and refurbishment plans
Prepare statutory reports, business cases and correspondence for Council
Manage budgets, contracts and tenders for maintenance and capital works
Represent Council on infrastructure matters with the Director, GM and Councillors
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in civil/environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline
Experience managing water, wastewater and/or waste services
Highly valued: Qualifications in Project Management, Leadership or Asset Management
Knowledge of environmental legislation relating to waste and water supply
Hands-on leader who stays composed under public scrutiny and makes sound calls

Market-competitive salary starting from circa $120,000 plus 12% superannuation and allowances

An RDO every third week
