We are currently looking for skilled Motor Mechanic/Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Motor Mechanic/Light Vehicle Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities
Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines, vehicle systems and components.
Dismantle and remove engines, transmissions, steering systems and other mechanical components, and inspect parts for damage, wear or defects.
Repair, replace and refit worn or defective components, referring to manufacturer specifications and service manuals where required.
Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups,



to maintain vehicle performance, reliability and compliance with applicable emissions requirements.
Reassemble engines and other mechanical components following repairs.
Test, adjust and fine-tune repaired components to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test vehicle systems and components.
Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and identify any repairs or maintenance required to meet roadworthiness standards.
Attend to vehicle breakdowns and provide roadside mechanical assistance, where required.

Essential Skills & Attributes
Ability to work as a positive and productive team member.
Full driver’s license
Willingness to work within the philosophy of VH Mechanical
3 years of relevant experience and/or qualification as an Automotive Mechanic.

Salary Range: $79,423 to $90,000 (depending on skills & experience)
