The work
/n
We carry out the field work, logging and draft reporting in-house. Your role is to review the data, form the engineering opinion, and sign the report.
/n
We're after genuine technical oversight — not a signature at the end. You'd have full access to borehole logs and field records, and we'd expect you to send work back where anything is unclear or insufficient.
/n
Reports are residential site classifications to AS2870, plus footing and bored pier inspection reports.
/n
Hours and rate
/n
Fully remote, work at times that suit you — no site attendance
/n
Flexible schedule, typically 3–10 hours per week
/n
$150–200 per hour depending on experience, inclusive of casual loading, plus superannuation
/n
You'd be covered
/n
You'd be engaged as a casual employee, which means your work is covered under the practice's Professional Indemnity insurance. You don't need to hold your own policy.
/n

/n
Comfortable taking qualified responsibility for reports prepared by others under your review
/n
Also worth applying if

You hold RPEQ or interstate registration and are open to obtaining RPEV via mutual recognition
