Job Description
This varied, people-focused role is integral to the care andsupport of employees recruited from the Pacific Islands under the Department ofEmployment and Workplace Relations, who are employed directly by Costa.
TheWelfare and Wellbeing Officer (WWO) ensures workers wellbeing, safety, andoverall experience during their time in Australia.
The position is a fixed termposition.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Assist withpreparingaccommodationbefore the cohort's arrival and after their departure.
Conductregularaccommodationinspections to ensure cleanliness and coordinate maintenanceas required.
Ensure worker-relatedreports and documentation are accurate and compliant.
Coordinate fleet vehiclemaintenance to ensure workers are transported in safe androadworthyvehicles,including lodging and coordinating vehicle insurance claimswhere required.
Organise andsupportrecreationaltrips.
Collaborate with farmteams on individual worker performance and provide support where needed.
Conduct welfare andwellbeing checks with individual workers.
Provide practicalsupport to workers attending routine and emergency medical appointments,where required.
Ensure workplaceinjuries, incidents and health-related concerns are reported and escalatedpromptly to the relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate medical andhealth insurance claims with the relevant medical health insurer.
Assist with workerarrival and departure requirements in accordance with the Seasonal WorkerProgramme (SWP) and Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) requirements.
Coordinate fortnightlyPALM team meetings to build rapport, encourage open communication andprovide workers with an opportunity to raise questions or concerns.
About you:
The successful candidate needs to be able to demonstratehigh levels of commitment and performance and will have;
A drivers license andtheir own reliable vehicle
Robust interpersonal andcommunication skills, both spoken and written
The ability to work withsensitive information in a confidential environment with a high degree ofintegrity
Attention to detail andability to manage compliance
Preferably previousexperience in a similar role working with SWP or PALM workers – howeverthis is not essential
Comfortableworkingautonomouslyand collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across thebusiness
The ability to work withpeople from diverse backgrounds
Excellent reporting andadministration skills
The Welfare and Wellbeing Officer will participate in anafter-hours on-call arrangement to ensure support is available when needed,with rostered coverage and appropriate time off.
The role alsorequiresflexibilityto work in line with the group's needs.
To buildstrongrelationships,the successful candidate will regularly spend time with thegroup during early mornings and evenings, as well as on some weekends.
