We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Executive Chef who can lead ourculinary team and shape the next chapter of our food and beverage journey.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Executive Chef is a keymember of the hotel leadership team responsible for driving culinary excellenceacross all food and beverage outlets and events.
This role requires anexceptional leader who combines creativity, commercial acumen, andoperationalexpertiseto deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining the higheststandards of quality, consistency, and profitability.
You will be instrumental in evolving our culinary identity, elevatingguest experiences, inspiring high-performing teams, and ensuring that everydish reflects the luxury, refinement, and attention to detail synonymous withThe Langham brand.
The role will focus on further enhancing the guest experience andculinary direction of Melba Restaurant and Aria Bar & Lounge, ensuringthese signature venues continue to set benchmarks in Melbourne'scompetitivehospitalitylandscape.
Key Responsibilities
Be hands-onand able to work with the team to drive change; lead and inspire a largeand diverse culinary brigade.
Developinnovative food concepts, menus, and seasonal offerings that enhance guestsatisfaction and market positioning.
Driveculinary excellence, ensuring exceptional presentation,consistency,quality,and flavour across all outlets.
Collaborateclosely with Food & Beverage, Sales, Events,



and Commercial teams tocreate memorable dining and event experiences.
Deliverstrong business performance through effective labour management, food costcontrol, forecasting, and productivity improvements.
Championfood safety, hygiene, allergen management, and quality assurancestandardsthroughoutthe operation.
Builda culture of coaching, development, and succession planning whilefostering colleague engagement and retention.
About You
You are a passionate culinary professional who thrives in luxuryhospitality environments and has a proven track record of leadinghigh-performing teams.
You will bring:
SignificantExecutiveChef experience within a premium hotel, luxury hospitality, orhigh-volume dining environment.
Astrong reputation for culinary creativity and innovation.
Demonstratedsuccessleading multiple outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets,and large-scale events.
Exceptionalleadership,coaching, and talent development capabilities.
Strongcommercial acumen with experience managing budgets, food costs,labourproductivity,and financial performance.
Deepknowledge of food safety, allergen compliance, and operational bestpractice.
