The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) is the rural research and development corporation (RDC) for the red meat processing industry in Australia.
As the research, development and marketing service provider for Australian red meat processors, AMPC runs programs of activity that are funded by processor levy payers, private contributions and the Australian Government.

About the Role
The role of the Project Officer, People & Culture is to create and manage documentation and communications required in complying with the AMPC project management process.
This role will work closely with the AMPC Corporate Services team in managing contracts and accounts, together with the Extension and Adoption Manager to streamline project delivery from conception to completion.

Key responsibilities
Support the Program Manager People & Culture to develop and sometimes lead project management tasks under the People & Culture portfolio
Work with the People & Culture Program Manager to identify and develop project opportunities aligned to Processors innovation strategies and AMPC People & Culture research program strategy
Work with People & Culture Program Manager to support the development of strong relationships with research providers
Provide advice and guidance for the research providers on People & Culture priorities
Support AMPC attendance at industry meetings, conferences and workshops that enhances the communication of R&D; outcomes to meet industry needs and develop an increased awareness of People & Culture issues and outcomes
Maintain awareness of industry and consumer macro trends and consumer insights and impacts of changing policies regarding people & culture
Maintain current understanding of people & culture issues relating to and affecting Australia's red meat industry
Work with Data Insights Manager and engagement with members and providers and other relevant stakeholders to understand current industry trends in People & Culture portfolio
About you
Suitable for recent graduates or candidates with 1+ years of relevant experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Training, Agriculture, Food Science, Business or a related field
Experience in the meat industry, manufacturing, or research and development is desirable
Understanding of red meat industry and the network of issues relating to People & Culture portfolio
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems (CRM/ERP)
Knowledge of project management principles
Strong organisational, time management, and relationship‐building skills
High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proactive, self‐motivated, and solutions‐focused
