Mountain Trail RV is looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our team.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident managing the day-to-day accounting functions of a medium-sized business and has strong, practical experience using Xero.
n
You'll take responsibility for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, managing key bookkeeping and accounts functions, and working closely with our external accountant and internal team.
n

What You'll Be Doing n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Day-to-day management of Xero, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
n
Processing payroll and managing Single Touch Payroll (STP)
n
Superannuation processing, reconciliations and year-end payroll finalisations
n
Full-function Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
n
Inventory receipting and reconciliations
n
Reviewing and understanding Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
n
Preparation of BAS and IAS
n
Liaising with our external accountant as required
n
Working with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and account queries
n
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring bookkeeping processes are completed on time
n
Ensuring accounts processes comply with company financial policies and procedures
n
Providing general accounts and administration support to the wider team when required
n
What We're Looking For n
We're looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of the bookkeeping function and become a reliable part of our team.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper,



Accounts Officer or similar finance/accounts professional
n
Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or an
equivalent/relevant
qualification
n
A minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience using Xero
n
Solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations and superannuation
n
A good understanding of Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss reports
n
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
n
The ability to organise your workload, meet deadlines and work independently
n
Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with suppliers, accountants and internal team members
n
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism
n
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
