Essential Air Solutions is seeking an experienced
HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technician
to join our team.
n
This role will primarily support our
ongoing maintenance contracts across secure facilities
, with a mix of local work and regular travel to regional and remote locations throughout Queensland.
n

The Role n
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a broad range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including:

Split, cassette and packaged air-conditioning systems
n
Air Handling Units (AHUs)
n
Cool rooms and freezer rooms
n
Vaccine and medical refrigeration
n
Refrigeration equipment and associated controls
n
General preventative and reactive HVAC/R maintenance
n
Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
n
Completing service documentation and reporting
n
n
A significant portion of the role involves working within
secure and controlled environments
, so professionalism, reliability and the ability to follow site procedures are essential.
n
The position also includes
regular away work
, including travel to regional and remote locations. Depending on the contract and location, this may involve multi-day or extended trips away from Cairns.

About You n
We are looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Relevant Air Conditioning & Refrigeration trade qualifications
n
Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
n
Current Australian driver's licence
n
Strong HVAC/R servicing and fault-finding experience
n
Experience with commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
n
Ability and willingness to undertake regular regional and remote travel
n
Good communication and customer service skills
n
Strong attention to service documentation and reporting
n
Ability to meet the requirements for working within secure facilities
n
n
Experience servicing
commercial refrigeration, vaccine/medical refrigeration, cool rooms, freezers and AHUs
will be highly regarded.
