Cafe on the Hilltop is seeking a passionate and skilled
Chef
to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a vibrant hospitality environment located in Ipswich, QLD. As Chef, you will work along side our Head Chef in delivering exceptional food and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

What you'll be doing
n
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes, presentation standards and nutritional requirements
n
Managing food preparation stations and ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and sanitized
n
Overseeing stock rotation, inventory management and ordering of food supplies
n
Ensure consistency in food quality and safety standards
n
Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles
n
What we're looking for
n
Formal culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience as a Chef within the hospitality industry
n
Minimum of 3 years' qualified cooking experience in a fast-paced cafe environment
n
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including current food safety certifications
n




Proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques and the ability to prepare diverse cuisine styles
n
Creative flair and passion
n
Reliability and flexibility with shift patterns, including potential weekend
n
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain it is highly desirable
n
Start Asap
n
Hours 6am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday (with the occasional morning shift weekends)
