About the role n

The Mater Private Hospital Mackay
is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced
Registered Nurse
to join their team in the
Emergency Care Centre
on a
permanent, part-time basis - 32 hours a week.
n
n
The Mater Private Hospital Mackay Emergency Care Centre is open from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week and is a fee-for-service emergency centre run by experienced emergency doctors and nursing staff, providing both adult and paediatric emergency services.
n
n
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been delivering exceptional clinical and pastoral care since ****. Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since ****, our modern 105-bed facility includes five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a range of specialist services.

Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour
plus superannuation
and

nWhat you'll be doing n
n
We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses who will be motivated by a challenging and fast paced environment.
n

Key responsibilities and duties include:
n

n
n
Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
n
n
Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
n
n
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
n
n
Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
n
n
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
n
n
n

The successful applicants will have:
n

Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
n
n
Previous experience in emergency care nursing would be highly regarded
n
n
Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
n
n
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
n
Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
n
n
