Mincore is looking for
two Mechanical Package Engineers
to join our Melbourne team as we continue to grow our mining and mineral processing project workload.
n

We are looking for candidates at two levels:
n
n
Mechanical Package Engineer
– 5–10 years' experience
Senior Mechanical Package Engineer
– ***** years' experience
n
n
Both are permanent, full time positions and we are looking for people who can start as soon as possible.
n
nThe Role n
n
You will be responsible for mechanical equipment packages from specification through to procurement and vendor coordination.
n
n
Your work will include:
n
n
n
n
n
Managing equipment packages including pumps, feeders, conveyors, screens, cyclones, agitators and thickeners
n
n
n
Preparing datasheets, material requisitions and scopes of work for RFQ
n
n
n
Completing technical bid evaluations and preparing recommendations for award
n
n
n
Reviewing and managing vendor data and documentation
n
n
n
Coordinating vendor information with mechanical, piping, civil, structural and electrical teams
n
n
n
Working directly with clients, vendors and subconsultants
n
n
n
Coordinating with our engineering teams in Melbourne and overseas
n
n
n
For the senior role, leading packages independently and supporting junior engineers
n
n
n
nAbout You n




n
We are looking for Mechanical Engineers with solid experience in
mining, mineral processing or similar heavy industrial projects
.
n
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
n
n
n
A degree in Mechanical Engineering
n
n
n
Experience working in an EPCM or engineering consultancy environment
n
n
n
Experience managing mechanical equipment packages
n
n
n
Good knowledge of specifications, RFQs, technical bid evaluations and vendor documentation
n
n
n
Mineral processing plant experience
n
n
n
Experience with slurry pumps and piping or bulk materials handling would be well regarded
n
n
n
Gold, CIL/leach or comminution experience would be an advantage
n
n
n
Good communication skills and the ability to deal directly with clients and vendors
n
n
n
CPEng or working towards it is desirable for the senior role
n
n
n

permanent positions based in our Melbourne office
, working across Mincore's Australian and international mining projects.
n

You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work directly with our clients and vendors and take ownership of your packages.
