Northern Health are seeking applications from a motivated and suitably experienced Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department and work in our new Compounding Suite.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

With our state-of-the-art compounding suite set to open in early ****, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the establishment of a new service, contributing to the development of operational processes and helping to embed safe and efficient compounding practices from the ground up.
About the Role:




A permanent, full-time opportunity exists for a Grade 2 Pharmacist – Compounding Services to join the team at Northern Health.
The role will require staff to be adaptable with their working hours to meet the changing operations demands and will include working after hours and on-call. Staff may also be required to travel and work across Northern Health campuses, programs and partner organisations.
The Pharmacist – Compounding Services supports the safe and efficient delivery of aseptic compounding services, including the production of aseptic, cytotoxic and biological treatments for patients at Northern Health. Working under the guidance of the senior pharmacist, the role requires knowledge and skills in aseptic dispensing and contributes to the safe, accurate and timely delivery of compounded therapies in accordance with relevant standards, procedures and departmental requirements.
They will work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Department to achieve the strategic outcomes of the Department.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
At least 3 years' experience in hospital pharmacy.
At least 1 years' experience in hospital pharmacy aseptic production.
Training in aseptic and cytotoxic production
Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills




Possess well developed self-management skills including the ability to meet timelines and prioritise competing demands
