We are seeking an experienced, organised and compassionate Medical Administrator / Medical Receptionist to join a busy orthopaedic specialist practice in Windsor.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small, supportive team where patient care is our priority. Working alongside a delightful Senior Personal Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our consulting rooms while providing exceptional service to patients throughout their treatment journey.
About the Role n
This varied position includes reception, medical administration, patient coordination and clinical support. Your responsibilities will include:
n
Greeting patients and providing a warm, skilled first impression.
n
Managing appointments, waitlists and consulting schedules.
n
Answering telephone enquiries and responding to emails.
n
Processing referrals and registering new patients.
n
Preparing clinic files and ensuring all imaging and clinical documentation is available for consultations.
n
Managing patient accounts, Medicare and private billing.
n
Uploading clinical correspondence and reports into Gentu.
n
Generating clinic letters using Lyrebird.
n
Liaising with hospitals, imaging providers, GPs and allied health professionals.
n
Assisting with document management, scanning, filing and general administrative duties.
n
Supporting the Senior Personal Assistant with the daily running of the practice.
About You n
You are a positive, reliable and highly organised professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialist medical environment.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
Previous experience in a medical reception or specialist practice.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
A caring, patient-focused approach.
n
The ability to prioritise and multitask efficiently.
n
Confidence using medical software (experience with Gentu is highly regarded).
n
Knowledge of Medicare and private health billing.
n
A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
n
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
n
Experience with Gentu (or similar).
n
Experience using Lyrebird or medical dictation software.
n
Previous orthopaedic or specialist consulting experience.
