An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced
Electrical Reliability Engineer
to join a leading manufacturing operation in Melbourne. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable performance of the site's electrical assets and hazardous area installations.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you will drive electrical reliability, asset performance, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex industrial manufacturing workplace.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Lead electrical reliability, maintenance, and compliance across the site.
n
Govern the Hazardous Area Management System (HAMS) and electrical safety programs.
n
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve asset performance.
n
Provide technical support for HV/LV systems, PLCs, DCS, and protection systems.
n
Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and energy optimisation initiatives.
n
Maintain electrical standards, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
n
Support maintenance, operations,



and capital project teams with technical expertise.
n
About You n
n
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
n
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industries.
n
Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, PLC/DCS controls, and protection systems.
n
Experience with hazardous area installations and electrical compliance requirements.
n
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance management practices.
n
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Hazardous Area Classification, Inspection, or Design experience.
n
Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) or Asset Management experience.
n
Exposure to energy management and optimisation projects.
n
Experience supporting capital works and plant upgrades.
n
