Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a robust focus on data analysis, with the ability to investigate data issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. This role requires a blend of data analysis and business analysis skills, enabling the candidate to develop insightful reports and dashboards that meet both business and regulatory needs.
Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret complex datasets from multiple sources to derive actionable insights.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support business and regulatory requirements.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting and analytics requirements.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all datasets.
Support initiatives related to risk management, compliance, customer insights, and financial reporting.




Work closely with data engineers and architects to design and implement data models and pipelines.
Mandatory Skills
4 7 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
Exposure to financial services, banking, or insurance data.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Understanding of data governance and regulatory reporting requirements.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
Experience with APRA/ASIC reporting or risk data management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in data analysis or business intelligence are a plus.
