We're looking for two hands-on Cooks to join our kitchen team at Jefferies Your Local Provedore.
n
If you enjoy making outstanding food, like keeping busy and take a bit of pride in getting the little things right, we'd love to hear from you.
n
You'll be working in our production kitchen, preparing a mix of ready-to-eat meals, salads, sauces, baked goods and other products for our stores.
n
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with food, cares about quality and consistency, and is happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
n
Baking or pastry experience is preferred, but it's definitely not the main focus of the role.
The Role n
n
n
Preparing and cooking a range of food products to established recipes and specifications
n
n
Preparing food in batches for our stores
n
n
Assisting with baked goods, pastries and other bakery items
n
n
Helping develop and test new products and ideas
n
n
Following recipes, production sheets and portion specifications
n
n
Preparing ingredients and organising your production for the day
n
n
Maintaining consistent quality, taste and presentation
n
n
Ensuring food is labelled, stored and handled correctly
n
n
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
n
n
Following all food safety and hygiene requirements
n
n
Working closely with the kitchen and management team to keep production on track
n
The Hours n
Full-time | Sunday–Thursday
n
The role will be primarily day shifts, generally finishing around 6pm,



with some flexibility required for occasional earlier starts depending on production requirements.
n
The regular working pattern will be Sunday through Thursday.
About You n
n
n
Has previous commercial cooking experience
n
n
Enjoys working with food and takes pride in what they produce
n
n
Understands the importance of quality and consistency when producing food in batches
n
n
Can follow recipes and processes accurately
n
n
Has a good eye for detail
n
n
Works well in a busy production environment
n
n
Is organised, reliable and happy to get stuck in
n
n
Can work independently but also enjoys being part of a team
n
n
Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with food
n
n
Baking or pastry experience is preferred, but not essential.
n
Experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, catering or food production environment will be highly regarded.
