SALARY - $100,000 - $140,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures bespoke heavy vehicle equipment. They are looking for a Vehicle Engineer with strong testing and compliance experience to join their team Melbourne on a permanent basis.
n
The Vehicle Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
n
n
At least 3 years' experience working on Heavy Vehicles, trucks, trailers or similar equipment
n
Robust experience across hands-on Testing, Compliance and Certification
n
Strong understanding of heavy vehicle compliance requirements and relevant Australian standards
n
Experience with vehicle certification, engineering approvals and compliance documentation
n
Experience conducting or supporting vehicle testing and inspections
n
Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and vehicle systems
n
Strong practical and hands‐on approach to engineering
n
Experience working closely with manufacturing, fabrication and assembly teams
n




Able to investigate and resolve technical and compliance issues
n
Strong attention to detail and technical documentation skills
n
Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
n

The Vehicle Engineer role will involve:
n
n
Managing engineering compliance and certification activities for heavy vehicles
n
Reviewing vehicle designs and specifications for compliance
n
Conducting and supporting vehicle testing, inspections and validation
n
Preparing engineering reports, certification documentation and compliance records
n
Liaising with relevant authorities, certification bodies, suppliers and customers
n
Investigating technical issues and determining appropriate engineering solutions
n
Supporting vehicle builds, modifications and final inspections
n
Assisting with the development and implementation of testing and compliance processes
n
Providing hands‐on engineering support throughout the manufacturing and vehicle delivery process
n
Working in a small, multi-disciplinary team on varied heavy vehicle projects
n
