Part-time, ongoing position available - 32 hours per fortnight.

Up to $60,****** (HS1) - $67,****** (HS17) base salary per annum - full-time equivalent pro-rated for part-time.

Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available.

Position Summary n
As a member of the patient information clerical team you will assist with the maintenance and provision of patient records for patient care, research and education.
n
This position will contribute to the accurate sorting, checking, filing, compiling and scanning of patient related forms.
n
The position will also include processing requests for patient information, answering telephone calls, record culling, quality audits and other HIS activities as directed.
n
Carry out tasks as part of a team that works co-operatively, sharing roles and responsibilities to meet the needs of the hospital.

n
Key Accountabilities n
1. Provision of patient records for patient care, research and education in line with policies and procedures, meeting timelines and KPIs.
n
All patient records retrieved in time for patientandrsquos attendance
n All patient records accurately filed within specified time frame
n All loose forms, reports and correspondence filed into correct patient record within specified time frame
n Adapt and assist the implementation of workflow process changes requested by management
n Successfully meet departmental KPIandrsquos
n Accurately report departmental KPIandrsquos to management on request
n Accept and make appropriate practice changes based on Manager feedback
n Assist department with other tasks as required
n
2. Patient data and medical record maintenance
n
Apply policies and procedures in all aspects of work
n Manage Patient Records in accordance with standards




n Perform role in line with confidentiality and privacy requirements
n Participate in Quality Activities
n Participate in staff education to ensure quality of data entry is maintained and correct procedures are followed
n Scanning of patient documentation
n Creation of patient records
n Enter and maintain accurate data within iPM
n
3. Provision of effective administrative support
n
Undertake all duties in line with policies and procedures within the required timeframe to meet KPIs
n Perform role in line with confidentiality and privacy requirements
n Participate in training and development that is offered during business hours and days
n Work cooperatively as part of the team and assist other areas and staff as necessary
n Offer opinions and suggestions to improve work areas
n Maintain knowledge and skill base required for effective performance and identify learning needs
n Support and train new employees when required
n Participate fully in the performance appraisal process
n Other tasks as directed by your Team Leader or Manager
n Work cooperatively within multi-disciplinary teams to improve workflow in consultation with management
About the role n

Remuneration as per Health and Allied services, Managers and Administrative workers EBA. Up to Up to $60,****** (HS1) - $67,****** (HS17) base salary per annum, (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time) dependent on candidate experience.To be discussed with Hiring Manager.
