ABOUT THE ROLE
n
We are seeking multiple positive and energetic team members with experience in general hardware and yard keeping to join our team. We require someone with a welcoming approach who can be a team player providing excellent service to our customers. This role will see a number of different tasks to undertake, including stock handling and storage, keeping yard area maintained in a clean and protected manner, collating and loading customer orders and the ability to assist with retail counter sales. We have full time and casual positions available.

As we trade on a Saturday morning this role may also require weekend work on a rostered basis.




RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
n
n
Receiving, unloading, storing and replenishing stock in a safe and efficient manner.
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe yard environment in line with workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately and on time.
n
Loading and unloading customer, supplier and delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment and safe work practices.
n
Assisting customers with product collection and providing friendly, professional service.
n
Supporting retail counter sales and general customer enquiries as required.
n
Conducting stock movements, stock checks and inventory organisation to ensure product availability and accuracy.
n
Ensuring products are packaged, secured and prepared appropriately for transport and delivery.
n
Collaborating with the wider team to achieve daily operational and customer service objectives.
n
Participating in ongoing product knowledge and safety training with leading industry suppliers and brands.
n
Contributing to a positive team culture by demonstrating reliability, initiative and a strong commitment to customer service
n
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
n
n




Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods
n
Experience in loading and unloading heavy building materials
n
Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy
n
Computer literate and ability to learn recent systems quickly
n
Forklift Licence (LF)
n
