About the Role n
As a Trades Assistant, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople, supporting daily maintenance and operational activities. This is a practical, hands‐on role where you'll learn on the job and develop valuable skills, with clear pathways for progression over time.
Your responsibilities will include: n

Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance and repair tasks
n
Undertaking greasing, lubrications & condition based monitoring on machinery
n
Use of hand and power tools (training provided)
n
Basic fault finding and preventative maintenance activities
n
Following safety, quality, and operational procedures
n
About You n
This role is perfect for someone who is keen to learn and grow within a large manufacturing organisation.
You'll bring: n
n
Previous experience working within a manufacturing, trade or construction environment (highly desirable)
n




Available to work Monday to Friday
n
Day Shift where you will commence in a temporary capacity (casual pay rate of $35 to $38 per hour inclusive of casual loading + super) with a view to go permanent.
n
Flexibility with start times and opportunity to choose to transfer to Afternoon Shift (with additional loadings).
n
Technically and mechanically minded
n
Strong work ethic and reliability
n
A strong focus on safety
n
Ability to work well as part of a team
n
Interest in building a long‐term career in maintenance or industrial operations
n
n
Direct previous experience or trade qualifications are not required
— attitude, motivation, and commitment are what matter most.
