The Role n
As an experienced Lawyer at CLP Lawyers, you will gain exposure to a broad range of Owners Corporation, Building, and Property Law matters. A key focus of the role, particularly in the early stages, will be drafting advices and managing complex litigation (largely Building Disputes).

This work provides an excellent opportunity for developing your litigation, advocacy, negotiation, and client management skills, while giving you regular exposure to VCAT proceedings and dispute resolution processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing correspondence, court and tribunal documents, and legal advice
n
Assisting with and appearing in VCAT proceedings
n
Liaising directly with clients, debtors, barristers, and other stakeholders
n
Working on building, property, and owners corporation disputes
n
Developing strong advocacy, negotiation, and client relationship skills
n
Managing debt recovery matters from commencement through to resolution
n
Working closely with Principals on complex and interesting matters
n
n
You will be provided with ongoing mentoring, training, and support, while enjoying autonomy and responsibility.

About You n
n
Holds (or is eligible to hold) a practicing certificate in Victoria
n
Is enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn
n
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
n
Has experience in litigation, property, building and owners corporation matters
n
Remuneration n
A competitive salary package will be offered and will be commensurate with experience.
