Australian Skilled Galvanising (APG) is a family owned business with more than 55 years' experience in galvanising and steel manufacturing. We're looking for a reliable HC or MC driver to join our team at our Stuart plant in Townsville.
n
This is a casual position offering
up to 37.5 hours per week
, with overtime opportunities. You'll undertake local deliveries and regional runs between Townsville, Cairns and Mackay, returning to Townsville each night.
What you'll do n
n
Transport steel products safely to customers and APG facilities.
n
Load and unload trucks, and secure loads for transport.
n
Check loads, vehicles and delivery paperwork.
n
Work with our production and logistics teams to keep deliveries on schedule.

What you'll bring n
n




A current HC or MC driver licence and relevant driving experience.
n
Sound knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load restraint.
n
A strong focus on safety, reliability and customer service.
n
The ability to recognise common steel sections, or willingness to learn.
n
An LF forklift licence is desirable.
n

Permanent or Casual hourly pay under the applicable Manufacturing Award classification, including casual loading if applicable, and applicable penalty and overtime rates.
