Job Description

What we are looking for :
n
We are seeking full time Upholsterers to join our team in Scoresby. The hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 6.30am to 3.00pm and Friday 6.30am to *****pm. This role has the potential to work additional overtime hours in the afternoon.
n
Reporting to the Leading Hand, the key responsibilities include:
n
n
Upholstering furniture frames using sewn fabric and leather kits
n
Assembling sofas, modular sofas, beds, sofa beds, armchairs, ottomans and stools
n
Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and work instructions
n
Processing jobs accurately through our production software system
n
Conducting quality checks and identifying opportunities for improvement
n
Working collaboratively with colleagues across manufacturing teams
n
Comply with all safe work practices and procedures
n
Ensure tools, equipment and workstations are maintained in a safe,
clean and operational condition
n
Supporting continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives
n
Assisting with stock control and production workflow requirements
n

What we are looking for :

Previous experience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing or a similar hands-on production workplace
n
Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools safely and effectively
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to follow safe work procedures consistently
n
A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
n
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills
n
The ability to read and follow drawings, instructions and quality specifications
n
Good problem-solving skills and a focus on identifying and preventing quality issues
n
Physical capability to perform manual tasks in a manufacturing environment
n
Must have full working rights in Australia
