Reporting to the Production Area Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring product quality, verifying food safety controls, conducting sampling and testing activities, and ensuring compliance with company standards, HACCP requirements and customer expectations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Conducting start-up, in-process and end-of-run quality checks
Verifying product weights, labels, coding and packaging compliance
Monitoring CCPs, product temperatures and metal detector performance
Collecting product, environmental and water samples
Conducting ATP and allergen verification testing
Raising and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs)
Supporting traceability exercises and product holds
Performing GMP, hygiene and housekeeping inspections
Completing calibration and verification checks
Maintaining accurate quality records and documentation
Assisting with internal, customer and regulatory audits
Supporting continuous improvement and food safety culture initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Quality Control,



Quality Assurance or Food Safety role within food manufacturing
Sound understanding of HACCP and GMP requirements
Knowledge of allergen management and food safety standards
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Experience completing quality inspections, testing or verification activities
Valuable written and verbal communication skills
Confidence identifying and escalating quality or food safety concerns
Competent computer skills and experience using quality management systems
Highly Regarded
Certificate in Food Processing, Food Technology or related discipline
Environmental monitoring experience
Calibration and verification experience within a food manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on manufacturing role requiring regular standing, walking, sampling, inspections and work within temperature-controlled food production environments. Appropriate PPE and hygiene requirements must be followed at all times.
