D'Arcy Weil is recruiting a Senior Strategy Analyst on behalf of a specialist energy consultancy. The role sits within the strategy practice, advising major energy sector clients including government bodies, regulators, utilities and developers, including:

- Building forward-looking views on domestic and international energy trends, industry developments and peer practice
- Working through complex, ambiguous strategic questions, structuring problems and testing hypotheses against the evidence
- Monitoring the Australian and global energy setting for emerging risks and opportunities that matter to clients
- Helping shape multi-year strategic roadmaps and linking them to financial and investment planning
- Preparing strategy papers and presentations for senior client audiences

The work suits an analyst who can turn a messy, fast-moving industry picture into a clear recommendation that executives and boards can act on.

The Role

- Develop forward-looking views on domestic and international energy trends and peer practice, and turn them into insight that informs client direction and priorities
- Work through complex strategic questions for clients, structuring the problem, building hypotheses and producing well-reasoned, evidence-based recommendations for executive and governance forums
- Monitor the Australian and global energy environment to surface emerging risks, growth opportunities and developments with strategic significance for clients
- Work with senior consultants and client subject matter experts to shape multi-year roadmaps,



making sure strategic intent carries into financial and investment plans
- Prepare strategy papers and presentations for senior client audiences, distilling complex analysis into clear narratives that support confident decisions
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative strategy practice

About You

- Demonstrated energy sector knowledge and experience, or a background in top-tier strategy or management consulting
- Strong problem-structuring capability on open-ended strategic questions
- Proven analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable conclusions
- Excellent communication, with experience preparing material for executive and Board audiences
- Effective relationship building across client and internal stakeholders
- Comfort managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- A relevant tertiary qualification desirable
