WHO WE ARE

Design Studio Perth is a branding and marketing agency based in Perth, Western Australia, helping established WA businesses grow with confidence. Since 2020, we’ve worked with more than 300 businesses across industrial, B2B and professional services, from mining services, scaffolding and machinery to law firms and consultancies.

We bring brand strategy, messaging, design and marketing together to help businesses stand out and connect with the right clients.

A client’s website is where their brand has to perform. We want every site we launch to be world class. You’ll design and build them.

WEB DESIGNER

We’re looking for a web designer who combines a strong eye for design with the technical skills to bring it to life.

You’ll work in WordPress and write custom code in JavaScript and React when a project needs more, with clear outcomes so you know what great looks like. Experience building websites with AI tools is a bonus.

The Role

Guide clients from the website discovery call through to launch and build websites that support their business goals.

Your work will include:

- Leading website discovery calls and helping clients define what their website needs to do.

- Designing and building responsive sites that bring each client’s brand, copy and photography together.

- Building pages that convert, with clear calls to action, forms and landing pages.

- Testing sites across browsers and devices before launch and building to basic accessibility standards.

- Handing over each site and showing clients how to edit it.

- Keeping client sites secure, backed up and up to date.





- Delivering work on time and flagging any potential delays early.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You design and develop. You have a great eye for layout and typography, and you care just as much about how a website works as how it looks.

You’re a first principles thinker. When a problem comes up, you work out why it happened before reaching for a fix. You take pride in building things properly.

You also make the process easy for clients. You explain things without jargon, meet your deadlines and raise problems early.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

- Three to five years’ experience as a web designer, including agency experience.

- A portfolio that demonstrates both website design and development.

- Confidence working in WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React.

- Experience with modern build tools.

- The ability to read, troubleshoot and fix code you didn’t write.

- A willingness to learn new tools as the industry changes.

- Clear communication and the confidence to guide clients through the process.
