WA Country Health Service is seeking Locum ED Doctors to support regional hospitals across Western Australia.
Opportunities are available for FACEMs, SMOs and Senior ED Registrars PGY6+, with shifts available across sites including Northam, Narrogin and Merredin.
This role is ideal for senior ED doctors wanting strong daily rates, broad regional Emergency Medicine exposure and practical travel support.
Clinical Environment
- Regional Emergency Department settings across WA
- Suitable for FACEMs, SMOs and Senior ED Registrars PGY6+
- Primary doctor, secondary doctor, float and on-call shifts available
- Day, evening, night and on-call shifts available
- Some inpatient ward cover may also be available
- Supportive regional hospital environments
Requirements
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent Emergency Medicine experience
- FACEM, SMO or Senior ED Registrar level experience
- Current CV
- Two professional referee reports from within the last 12 months
- At least one referee must be from a line manager, HOD or Medical Director
Benefits
- SMO / Senior ED Registrar rates from $2,000 – $2,500 per day
- FACEM rates from $2,700 – $2,900 per day
- Fuel reimbursed at 88 cents per km within WA

Regional WA offers broad Emergency Medicine experience across communities that rely on solid locum cover, with opportunities available across multiple hospital sites.
Referral Program

Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
