About the Role:

We are seeking a South Australian-based Old Age Psychiatry Registrar for a locum placement within an Older Persons Mental Health Community team in Noarlunga Centre, SA. This 0.8FTE contract runs from 14 September to 2 October 2026, working Mondays (essential) with other workdays negotiable between 8:45am and 4:45pm, or alternatively five days per week at reduced hours equivalent to 0.8FTE. There is no on-call or overtime. You will join a large metropolitan health network serving Adelaide's southern suburbs, working within a multidisciplinary community mental health team and gaining exposure across tertiary, general hospital and community-based services.

- Assess and manage older persons presenting with mental health conditions in a community setting
- Provide psychiatric review, diagnosis and treatment planning for older adults
- Participate in case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health teams
- Liaise with GPs, aged care providers and other community services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using CBIS (and ideally Sunrise)

About You:

- AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
- Currently practising at Registrar level in Psychiatry
- South Australian-based (essential)
- Access to and ability to use CBIS (essential), and ideally Sunrise
- Available on Mondays for the full contract period
- Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligible to work in Australia
