About the Role:

We are seeking an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Registrar for a locum placement at a major regional referral hospital in Traralgon, VIC. This contract runs from 14 September to 18 October 2026. You will join one of the largest regional health services in Victoria, serving communities across the Gippsland region, with a large inpatient capacity and exposure to complex and diverse presentations. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, with close collaboration between specialist and allied health teams.

- Assess and manage acute and complex adult inpatient psychiatry presentations
- Provide clinical care across a broad range of mental health presentations
- Participate in ward rounds, case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health teams
- Contribute to risk assessment, treatment planning and discharge coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You:

- AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
- Currently practising at Registrar level in Psychiatry
- Confident managing a broad range of acute inpatient mental health presentations
- Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Available for the full contract period
- Eligible to work in Australia
